Again, Boko Haram Rocks Maiduguri As Suicide Bomber Kills 10 In Mosque

BEVERLY HILLS, May 30, (THEWILL) – A suicide bomber suspected to be member of the Boko Haram hit squad, Saturday, stormed the Monday market in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, killing no fewer that 10 persons at a mosque inside the market.

The attack which happened around 3:40pm, according to a local vigilante member, Abba Modu, was targeted at Muslim worshippers who came to the mosque for the early evening prayer.

The bomber, who disguised as one of the worshippers, was said to have detonated the bomb while in the mosque ,leading to the death of 10 persons while several others were injured.

Members of the Red Cross and youth vigilante members were said to have been deployed at the scene of the blast to evacuate the dead and assist those injured to the hospital.

THEWILL can report that the attack came a few hours after the military successfully repelled an early morning attack on the state capital by the insurgents.
