Ambode Makes First Appointments

SAN FRANCISCO, May 30, (THEWILL) – Newly sworn-in Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, has made his first key appointments, a few hours after his inauguration.

In a statement on Friday, the Governor appointed Mr. Tunji Bello, a former cabinet member in the last administration, as Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and also named Mr. Samuel Ojo as his Chief of Staff.

Mr. Abiodun Bamgboye would serve as Principal Private Secretary, while Mr. Habib Aruna would be Chief Press Secretary.

The statement added that the appointments would take immediate effect.

Bello was the Commissioner for the Environment in the last administration in the state.

Ojo, the new Chief of Staff, until his appointment, was the Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Chief of Staff.

Aruna was the Editor of Sunday Independent, from where he resigned in November 2014, to set upUpshotreports, an online newspaper.
