MURMURING MEMOIRS
Murmuring memoirs!
Our dwindling dwellings' decay;
Hydra headed blood-sucking sorrows,
Our treasury conceded death to bloody bands.
Murmuring memoirs!
Our pillowcases into dirges dissolved:
Hunger and thirst our intestines disbanded,
In crooked and wanton bandwagons conveyed.
Murmuring memoirs!
Our placentas traded in the bonfires!
To roof the leaking thatched house masters,
Our breastplates seasoned with winged scarcity.
Murmuring memoirs!
Our national cake in the electric plates,
Served upon the lethal electric dining tables;
Like drugged dogs dogged by derogatory doggedness.
