Ever wonder how Nollywood couple, Joke Silva and Olu Jacobs, have managed their way through marriage and acting? Well, the simple truth is that they have learned to share thoughts and appreciate each other more than the way love is being shown today.

Olu Jacobs in a recent interview, disclosed that the reason why many marriages fail today is because people do not understand the meaning of the word, 'for better for worse, for richer for poorer.'
He noted that since couple do not respect that word, they find it difficult to get over it mentally when they eventually step out of the marriage.

In his words, “Like I said, you don't get married to come out of it. The words; 'for better for worse, for richer for poorer' are not mere words. They are not said for nothing. When you enter into marriage, you don't think of coming out of it. That is why some people cannot mentally recover from it again, because they keep thinking about it. And that is why you have to safeguard yourself. This can only be achieved by knowing the kind of friends you keep.”

“People will come to tell you stories, even if you find out it is true, you will be the one to deal with it and apply wisdom. As a married person, you are now thinking for two. You cannot take any independent decision because no decision you take should be for yourself alone. Communicating helps a lot, once you are talking, it solves a lot of things,” he told The Nation.
