Grand Conspiracy to Annihilate The Niger Delta

Source: pointblanknews.com

We are constrained to write this open letter to distinguished members of

corporate Nigeria, the political class, partners of sustainable development

and shared prosperity on the State of the Niger Delta region on the on-going

evil conspiracy against the future of the region which is clearly trying to

undermine our collective intelligence and uncompromising commitment to the

unity and oneness of the Nigerian nation, founded on the principles equity

and good conscience.
Rather unfortunate that, in recent times issues that have been set aside as

amongst the minimum settlement criteria over the longtime neglect and

exploitation of the region natural resources and environment are beginning

to be aggressively ignored by our fellow compatriots and corporate citizens.

Specifically, the recent attempt to truncate the presidential directive on

the shipment of Oil and Gas Cargoes to the three proximate Ports within the

Niger Delta region, (i.e. Onne, Warri and Calabar) and the subtle withdrawal

through clandestine means by Ladol Integrated Logistics Enterprise Limited,

the local content partners to the Egina FPSO Project.

This directives in all intent and purpose are altruistic and sound against

all measurement parameter, including economic reasoning; when the Lagos

Ports is currently congested and have the same facilities that can be

compared to what obtains in the aforementioned three (3) ports, the Port

activities is capable of stimulating the Micro and Macro business

activities, strengthen the regions diversification strategy away from Oil

and create both direct and indirect Jobs. On the social parameter, there

would be greater advancement occasioned by the influx of potential business

partners and the political inclusiveness, which will promote mutual trust

and stability.
Herein Ladol, willingly agreed to undertake there component of the

fabrication works of the FPSO in Agge, Bayelsa State. This is done in full

realization that the means possible are existent in the region and further

committed this patriotic act to His Excellency, the President of the Federal

Republic of Nigeria, Dr.Goodluck  Ebele Jonathan, GCFR via letter dated,

Monday, September 16, 2013.
So also is the laughable purported  postulate by a few disgruntled and

selfish elements in the National Assembly that the entire Nigeria should be

seem and deemed as oil Producing region when nature clearly disagrees and

has made the Niger Delta region of Nigeria the only naturally and legitimate

region that is oil producing in Nigeria.
Clearly, this subtle attempts smacks mischief and utter disrespect to the

good and peace loving people of Niger Delta Region who have always been

supportive of the unity and progress of our dear country, Nigeria.

However, we must state in very clear terms that any attempt to subvert this

noble intention by any political class who purportedly believes they can

trample on our rights, shall be roundly and aggressively resisted.

The region must not be viewed as a conquered territory that can be treated

with disdain, but must be seen as a critical stakeholder in the interest of

good governance and progressive conscience.
We shall collectively resist to be seen as the hunters dog that are only fit

for the bones after a successful hunting, whereas we contribute

significantly to our common pool to sustain the Nigerian project.

We are therefore making it in un-quantified terms that; every gentleman

agreement hitherto entered must be strengthened and respected and should not

suffer any political malfeasance.
We are profiling possible breaches against the region and will soon alert

the world about this unpatriotic and unethical conducts and their grand

conspiracy to annihilate the region. We have treaded this path of resistance

before and shall not hesitate to do so, when it becomes absolutely

necessary.
Signed
Comrade Joe Jackson
President
