Paris Saint-Germain submit $137.7m bid for Cristiano Ronaldo

The summer transfer window is right around the corner, and with that, rumors are swirling regarding the impending whereabouts of several players.

Arguably the biggest star in the game right now, Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo, is always involved in transfer speculation, most often to his former club Manchester United.

The latest team that has offered a large sum for the superstar is Paris Saint-Germain.

Spanish newspaper Marca reported that French giant has offered a $137,662,500 (€125 million) bid for the Portugal international.

From Marca:
Al Khelaifi…has happily confirmed that he wouldn't think twice about forking out €125 million to have Ronaldo playing for him.

Florentino Pérez…naturally doesn't want Ronaldo to go. At the Bernabéu they believe that the Portuguese player still has two spectacular seasons left in him, but don't want to force him to stay. The only man that has been locked down is Bale.

Ronaldo knows that Real Madrid history and legend awaits him. He would love to break Raúl's record as the club's most most prolific goalscorer, but first he wants to set the scene upon which to achieve it – one that at present does not exist.

While this is far from a done deal, Ronaldo isn't getting any younger, and it makes sense that Real would be completely open to letting him go right now from a value depreciation standpoint.

Nevertheless, Ronaldo would have to blatantly demand an exit to have this situation become a reality, ignoring a possible future status as the best Real Madrid player of all-time, and PSG would have to increase his salary substantially. With the current Financial Fair Play restrictions in place, this one seems unlikely.
