Governor Bala James Nggilari, of Adamawa State has debunked allegation of diversion of N700million out of the 2 billion the state received from the central Bank of Nigeria as Agricultural loan.

Nggilari who spoke through his Director of Public Affairs Mr. P. P. Elisha said that after a meeting of the executive council it was agreed that the state government should borrow N700 million from agric loan to meetup with the immediate need of IDPs stressing that the members representing the said areas can testified to it

He explained that the state received N2 billion from the Apex bank in the country for procurement of farming material for the farmers in the state.

He explained that majority of the farmers in state were living in IDPS camps which made the government to use the said amount for the well-being of the Internal Displaced Persons from seven local government areas of the state which were Michika, Madagali, Hong, Mubi North/South and Maiha, Gombi.

Nggilari insisted that said amount was borrowed by the state government not diverted as the House of Assembly claimed to meetup with the immediate need of IDPs stressing that the members representing the said areas can testified to it.

According to him if international communities can expended much on IDPs a responsible government will not fold it's arms not to meet up with IDPs demands. He attributed the action of the lawmakers to the political wranggling in the state.

Elisha explained that due to fall in the price of crude oil in the international market what the state received as subvention from the federal account could not pay the salaries of the working force talkless of taking care of IDPs.
