Senator Representing Borno Dies

SAN FRANCISCO, May 16, (THEWILL) – Senator Ahmed Zannah, 60, ‎the Senator representing Borno Central Senatorial District is dead.

THEWILL gathered that Senator Zannah died in a hospital in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, on Saturday from an undisclosed ailment.

The deceased, who was elected into the Senate in 2011 on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after flooring the then outgoing governor, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, won re-election during the 2015 election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and could have been in the Senate till May 29, 2019.

The late Senator, who recently returned from London where he had gone for medical treatment, was said to have died after suffering from stroke.
