Ajeromi-Ifelodun APC Leadership: Bring Adewale Adeogun Back to Education Secretary

Since four months now in Ajeromi-Ifelodun Public primary schools, over 100 pupils had been withdrawn by parents due to Hon.Adewale Adeogun to complete his second tenure as Education Secretary that brought academic light to public schools in Ajegunle.Pupils enrolment into public schools in Ajegunle has decreased over time which many parents described Hon. Adewale Adeogun tenure as the most sought after educationist ever produced in Ajeromi-Ifelodun compared to former sleeping education secretaries who never brought any academic pedigree into Ajegunle public schools.

The fact that Education Secretary is by appointment which Hon Adeogun extremely performed above parents expectations and he actually needed automatic appointment to consolidate his educational efforts of bringing intellectual glory to Ajeromi-Ifelodun.Few years ago precisely, Ajegunle public schools were nothing to write home about in terms of academic excellence until Hon Adeogun was given the mantle of leadership to revive the degrading system which he inherited from his predecessors. The low turnout of enrolment of pupils into Ajegunle public schools have called for great concern to Ajeromi-Ifelodun APC leadership where rightful leaders should be given requisite positions not half-baked ones. To some extent, Hon.AdewaleAdeogun did his very best to fix Ajegunle public schools in all ramifications. At 50, he has credibly done well to project APC as a party in Ajeromi-Ifelodunthrough various educative programmes for teachers and politicians. The Paramount issue here is that Hon.Adewale Adeogun must return for second term.APC leadership must think constructively to bring a man that made Education Secretary relevant in Lagos State and Nigeria. Political creativity is one of the core visions of Hon.Adewale Adeogun which he inculcated theoretical discipline into Ajegunle public schools and their teachers within five years in office. He never run a tribal leadership than embracing all non-Yoruba speaking communities as team players in the system.

However, Hon.Adewale Adeogun met well for Ajegunle public schools with several awards to his credit and national recognition indicated that he worked assiduously to see Ajegunle public schools came into limelight. With over 70 public schools under his educational jurisdiction then, he was able to play a level field to teachers with several seminars trainings and others. One thing you cannot take away from Adewale Adeogun was his political level of discipline even as a school administrator. He used every available platform to bring successful personalities to Ajegunle Public schools and never relented his glorious effort to take Ajegunle public schools to the Promised Land if allowed for second term.APC leadership in Ajeromi-Ifelodun must know very well that Adewale brought educational structure to Ajegunle where many never thought of

any good thing coming from Ajegunle environment. The enrolment of pupils into private schools dropped with 6 digits when he was the Education Secretary but now, the reverse is the case. The massive withdraw of pupils from Ajegunle public schools by parents to private schools in this second term are something for APC leadership to look into before it hits the brink wall.

With the support of the outgoing Lagos State Governor,Barr Babatunde Fashola and other Ajegunle stakeholders, he was able to succeed in his leadership as an Education Secretary in Ajeromi-Ifelodun.If Ajegunle public schools must survive the test of time, people like Hon.Adewale Adeogun must be given another higher position that could complement his effort and to further the leadership zeal in him.Ajeromi-Ifelodun must celebrate Hon.Adewale Adeogun And Hon Fatai Ajidagba for bringing quality leadership to the grassroots without political bias. No better academic qualification could equate the numerous academic achievements being displayed by Hon.Adewale Adeogun for the period of five years in office. His educational and political humility in leadership is worthy to be emulated in all ramifications. He singlehandedly modernise the Education Secretary's office which was an eyesore to fellow educationists in Lagos State. His educational legacies will continue to speak volumes of his past leadership in Ajeromi-Ifelodun.He remains a sought after internationally recognised educationist in Nigeria with intellectual integrity. It is time Hon.Adewale Adeogun is given a leadership position in Ajeromi-Ifelodun by the APC now if the party must win the minds of the people.
