SSA On Power Expresses Confidence In Udom Emmanuel...And Lauds Governor Akpabio

The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor on Power, Dr. Victor Udohas, expressed confidence inAkwaIbom State Governor-elect, Mr. Udom Emmanuel.

Speaking with Journalists in his office, the SSA said “His Excellency, Chief (Dr.) GodswillAkpabioenabled a fair and equitable process forthe emergence of his successor”.

He added that “the Governor-elect’s landslide victory at the April 11governorship elections is the proof of the people’s confidence in the succession process”.

He stated that “Mr. Udom Emmanuel’s experience as an investment banker will ensurecontinuity, consolidation and sustainabledevelopment across all sectors of the State because His Excellency has laid the foundation for the industrialization of our State”.

Dr. Udo said “Governor Akpabiohas changed the psyche of every AkwaIbom person. Indigenes of the State are now proud of their heritage because of what His Excellency has accomplished”.

He added that“the enormous infrastructural development and the extensive urban electrification across the State havemade AkwaIbom State a destination for investors”.

The SSA said that “from the splendor and scenery that welcomes travelers upon arrival at the international airport at night;it is easy to appreciate that AkwaIbom State can be seen from outer space in contrast to the ‘dark continent’ perspective of Africa”

He mentioned that“The outgoing administration made significant investments in gas, generation, transmission and power distribution infrastructure but unfortunately the distribution infrastructure is not being properly managed by Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHEDC)”.

He however expressed confidence that “the existing challenges in the operation of power distribution infrastructure in the State will be revisited and resolved under the incoming administration”.

The SSA was full of praises for the outgoing administration of Governor GodswillAkpabio and the incoming administration of Deacon Udom Emmanuel.He said “during the outgoing administration we said ‘let God’s will be done’ and it was done now with the incoming administration we are confident that God is with us – Emmanuel!”

He concluded by saying “AkwaIbom is on the Right Hand of God which is translated ‘UbokUdom Abasi’ ”.
