According to NicholasThomas and William T. Tow, The Utility of Human Security: Sovereignty and Humanitarian Intervention Security Dialogue June 2002 33: 177-192, “`Human security' is a promising but still underdeveloped paradigmatic approach to understanding contemporary security politics.

We argue that tension between those embracing the politics of development and those supporting the human security paradigm has intensified because the transnational dimensions embodied within the latter approach have been under-assessed.

The idea of `threat' also needs to be identified with more precision for the human security concept to accrue analytical credibility. We focus on how transnational behaviour addresses the central human security problems of vulnerability and immediacy.

Human security's utility for confronting crisis is also evaluated via the application of two case studies of humanitarian intervention: the 1994 multinational operation in Haiti and the 1999 intervention in East Timor. We conclude that, while general security politics includes both domestic and international issues, human security allows us to transcend sovereign prerogatives and to address emerging transregional threats more effectively”.

As we all know security and peaceful coexistence in Africa are swept under the carpet and politics. Security is heavily compromised and detrimental to human dignity, paved ways abject neglect and unpatriotism. Don’t get me wrong, a must to know, security claims the highest budget in nations that earnestly considers its citizens first among others, as commonly practiced in developed nations. In Nigeria, reverse is the case.

You will agree with me, Africa and Nigeria has compromised security, prompting the humiliation of masses, trading human lives and propertiesfor cheap political gains, incitingits citizenry against one another, for selfish reasons and cling to power. The South AfricanXenophobia is the offshoot of unmanaged local in-country crises, lead to this barbaric and shameful act. South Africa must be punished, like wise President Jonathan and his cabal in the case of Boko Haram.

l may be right or wrong, immigrants maywitnesssimilar or more of South Africans Xenophobia, targeting Nigerians for obvious reasons; Nigerians is the world’s black: populous country, educated people, widely travelled people, widely settled people. Interestingly, Nigerians take advantage of all situations and made very difficult by the government. Leading Nigerians to run astray and from its endowments into traps. As such this sporadic movements, is gradually dwindling into our lovely heritage, family bondage and to a large extent history.

Regrettably, Past and current rulers failed to address Nigeria migration, makes me wonder and ponder, and to ask questions: where are Nigerian rulers from? From Nigeria or neighboring counties? Bet me, Nigeria will do nothing about Xenophobia in South Africa as it affected its citizenry. As such, set some confusion in place, as cover up;recalling and reinstating Nigerian Ambassador to South Africa, suspended the Permanent Secretary, now, who is to be blamed?Neither are solutions but a game to make you and l tobelieve, they are doing something and nothing but to frustrate our followership, while we lose track and forget shortly.

People Democratic Party (PDP), a party of divide and rule, assumed office 16 years ago and further compromised its citizenry’s security to Boko Haram (about) 300 abducted girls,Oil bunkering, Corruptions-Lootings, etc. Sadly, this is the greatest compromise ever experience by peace loving Nigerians, ascribing to unaccounted statisticalloss of lives and properties, thousands displaced to date. President Jonathan and First Lady Patience vehemently showed nonchalant attitude but upturned this pathetic situation into political jamboree, and distributed Nigerianreserve. Parents and families of the abducted girls must collectively file suite (if not filed by now) against out-going; President Jonathan at the International Court of Justice, Hague as soon as May 29th. APC Diaspora International Secretariatis prepared to facilitate this process.

Now is the time for APC lead and Nigerian President Elect; General Muhammed Buhari,a season security don, with knowhow in oil business, to use his magnifying telescope, not to only look at the Law Enforcement Agencies but carefully look: through, in between and surroundings for hidden - bags of bad eggs in uniforms who are unable to keep recordof a Government College Katsina issued certificate and almost robbed Nigeria its democracy.

Allegations and in justice associated with Law Enforcement Agencies must be brought to bear, as such, victimized-threatened Nigerians must be given equal and fair justice!Again, over the years “Security Votes” must be thoroughly investigated (introduce proactive management, including due process, checks and balances with timeframes) and families of officers who lost their lives to Boko Haram, etc. must be re-reimbursed transparently.

Notwithstanding, training and retraining, getting rightful- serviceable equipment is a necessity, not limited to putting the officers and right spot, review examinations, promotions, firedand absconded officers, etc. All these are acceptable best practices with a belief All Progressives Party (APC) will timely follow through, leaving no stones unturned, because Nigerian Security is a Key and must be revamped!

General MuhammaduBuhari, the parade ground is yours, as the newly elected president to quickly bring about “A New-Nigeria Human Security Sovereignty Facebook to Law enforcement Agencies”, for these agencies to assume its rightful position in peace keeping, totally regain Nigeria, while great nations ascribed to Nigerian security – military plans/support.
