Zimbabwean Student Gives Birth, Hides Baby In School Bag

A Zimbabwean schoolgirl has left her community shaken after she secretly gave birth at school and hid the baby in her school bag at home.The Evelyn High School student appeared before the Western Commonage provincial magistrate Willard Mafios Moyo, where she was charged with concealing birth.The unnamed girl gave birth covertly at her school premises and hid the newborn in her school bag before going to her mother’s house where she secretly dumped the baby in her own wardrobe, leading to the infant’s death.

According to the girl’s mother during her court testimony, she had no idea that her child was pregnant. It is alleged that the girl’s family only got to know of this detestable crime after the unnamed girl’s sister decided to clean up her bedroom and do her sister’s laundry that is when she opened her sister’s school satchel and discovered that there was a dead infant in it.
