Imo Guber: PDP accuses INEC, APC of irregularities.

The Imo State Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Barr. Nnamdi Anyaehie has accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) of irregularities in the last April 11 Governorship election.

Speaking to newsmen in Owerri, Barr. Anyaehie noted that all the results that came in were doctored by APC assisted by some INEC officials, adding that INEC awarded jumbo results to APC, while insisting that APC induced the officials, which according to him, was wrong for any person to do and that it was a rape on democracy.

He revealed that APC used non customized result sheets in the last election which he said necessitated the falsification of results in areas like Ideato North/South, Nkwerre, Isu, Onuimo, Orlu, Ikeduru among other places. He hinted that there was monumental fraud in the last election.

Continuing, Barr. Anyaehie posited that what happened in the last election was allocation of results, stressing that no election took place, remarking that a situation where a Returning Officer was adopted and made to write results against his wish was clear indication that no election took place, especially in Oru-east and Ezinihitte local government areas of the state.

He noted that the selective deployment of card readers to the strong hold of PDP and the use of manual accreditation to favour APC is highly unacceptable and will not be condoned in the nation’s democracy.
