Ihedioha, Okorocha fight to finish …As APC defectors plot fall of PDP

By Chigozie Uzosike

As the supplementary election holds across 23 local government areas in 250,000 polling units, the two major Governorship contenders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Emeka Ihedioha and All Progressives Congress (APC), Owelle Rochas Okorocha have started last minute plans to win the election.

The two major contenders are pitching tents with those they think will be useful to them in terms of winning the election, especially that the incumbent Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has continued to pull the heavyweights in PDP to himself, with promise of juicy political positions both at the state and at the federal level.

Information reaching our news desk indicated that those who won the Senatorial/House of Representatives seats under the PDP with the help of Ihedioha were walking clandestinely working for the victory of APC, revealing that the battle is not over until it is over.

The APC defectors are not losing sleep as they have continued to ensure that their decision of joining the party does not boomerang, especially in the state. They are fighting harder than ever before to remain relevant by winning Saturday re-run election.

It would be recalled that the Imo State guber election was declared inconclusive by the INEC Resident Commissioner, Dr. Gabriel Adah following infringements and irregularities in some areas, positing that the margin of win, which is 79,000 votes was lower than the 145,000 votes expected from the areas that were infringements.
