SOLUTIONS PREFERRED:
Realising that it is rather reactive and unwise:

1. To merely seek for "an attitudinal change" on the part of citizens of all host nations who have treated Nigerians badly,

2. To moan and groan in pains so inflicted on our citizens,

3. To persist in doing the same things...or doing things the same way....and expect different results,

4. To expect to find it easier to change other people than ourselves,

5. To agitate for ambassador recalls and break of diplomatic relations with such nations,

6. To advocate for closure of companies of citizens of such nations in reprisal,

7. To suggest that citizens of such nations be visited with violent bodily attacks in reprisal,

I find it pertinent to present the following solutions regarding these attacks:

I STRONGLY ADVISE THAT:
1. All nations and races bearing an ingrained mindset to engage in protectionist activities to fashion out ways and means to untrain their peoples out of such mindsets.

2. Such nations and races to retrain their peoples on ways and means of playing fair in business deals in their host countries, be appreciative of the hospitality of their host communities and readily share the assets in the lands of their hosts with the sons of the soil...rather than covet all for themselves via deviosly ingenious means!

3. Such nations to encourage the formation of associations in the diaspora whose top agenda would include emphasis on such issues.

4. Such nations to design ways and means for their sons and daughters abroad to feel out the prevailing mood of the locals and use such info and data to advise members for an attitudinal change....or surreptitious emigration out of hot zones and hot nations....until such times when it would be safe to return!

5. Such nations to advise their citizens to refrain from living loud, extravagant and flamboyant lives which may incur the envy, jealousy, resentment, hatred and wrath of locals who feel done a bad deal.

6. Such nations to declare national emergencies on such issues as they seek avenues for such change of mindset.

7. Very deep interactions including inter-marriages with locals that should compel them to think twice before attacking, maiming and destroying immigrants and their properties which would then....in essence....translate into destroying their own!

8. Sincerity in dealing with the locals in matters of sourcing employees for their companies. They should employ mainly qualified locals rather than staff their shops or companies with just their kinsmen. Locals should be less inclined to loot or burn down shops that provide employment for their relations, buses operated by their kins or taxicabs driven by their siblings!

Staffing a shop in another nation 100% with your kins from Arochukwu, Arondiziogwu or Ohafia simply does not jell!

9. Such citizens to be advised never to become so mentally complacent or so drunken with confidence as to declare the lands of their hosts as "no man's lands"!

This is not to say it is right to attack guests....but the Nigerian government must find a lasting solution to this problem.

I don't think such solution resides in closing down South African companies in Nigeria...or breaking diplomatic relations with South Africa!

Otherwise, we might as well close down all Ghanaian, Liberian and Gabonese companies doing business in Nigeria....and break diplomatic relations with Ghana, Gabon, Liberian or indeed all nations where the greed of our "Eastern Brothers" had elicited attacks from locals in the past....

For such attacks would surely occur again...
To Syrians. To Indians. To Jews. To Pakistanis. To Iranians. And all peoples who have what I call the Igbo mindset....

It is not a matter of "if"...
....but "when"!
And if you are one of those Igbomen who in spite of all these still feels the solution to your earthly woes resides in bathing Dr Akindele in gutter language, I can only counsel you....most humbly....to....

....save your venom for the South Africans....
And be patient to reach South Africa before you spit it!
