Aks Gov- Elect Assures Of All Inclusive Government

The Akwa Ibom state governor-elect Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel has thanked Akwa ibom people for massively electing him to govern the state and has reiterated his pledged to make sure that unemployment is eradicated in the State.

Mr Udom who spoke to journalists at his hometown Awa Iman in Onna local government area Sunday night, said he will not relent in his promise to make sure that industries are built and jobs created for the teaming youths of the state.

He was speaking shortly after being declared the governor-elect by the independent national electoral commission (INEC) were he polled 996,071 votes to defeat other contestants.

He pledged to work for the overall wellbeing of common man and run a government whose dividends and achievements will be seen and felt by all.

Mr Emmanuel assured the people of the state to be rest assured that he is bring developments to all nooks and crannies of the state, maintaining that he was going to be sworn in as a governor for all the people of the State irrespective of party affiliations..

According to him, “the political party is only a vehicle to attain political authority and once election is over, the entire people become one’s priority and we will make sure that we don’t discrimainate in our policy of creating wealth for the state.”

He said that his more than four of his friends in several multi-national companies have already called to congratulate him on the victory, and were ready to come in and start investing in the State.

Earlier that night, the Governor-elect had addressed a mammoth crowd of Akwa Ibom people who thronged his community in Awa Iman to celebrate with him.

He said he had to abandon thousands of supporters who were celebrating with him all evening in Uyo, when he heard that more people had also besieged his home community.

He urged them to be fully ready for the emerging economic opportunities that will characterize his administration from May 29, this year.

Among those in his company were the prominent sons of Eket Federal Constituency including Chief Nduese Essien, General Anthony Etukudo, Rev Daniel Akwatang, Chief Jack Udota and Prof Etie Ben Akpan
