Ex senate president, Chief Adolf Wabara and Leader of Ukwa/ Ngwa ethnic nationality, Dr. Emma Adaelu has appealed to the people of Abia North and Abia Central senatorial zones to vote for the candidate of the PDP in Abia state, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, in tomorrow's governorship election.

They insisted that the Ukwa/Ngwa people have supported the sons of the two zones to emerge governors through Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu and Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu (Abia North) and Chief Theodore Orji (Abia Central) who is concluding his final tenure on May 29, 2015, and deserves to be supported to be supported to produce a governor of the state this time.

In a chat with journalists in Aba, the two leaders also appealed to the various non indigenous communities living in the state not to be deceived by the antics of the governorship candidates who m they accused of denying his origin to deprive the Ukwa/ Ngwa people of their chance to produce a governor of the state.

, “ Fair play, Equity and equity demands that the Ukwa/Ngwa people in Abia South be supported to produce a governor.  We appeal to our brothers from the neighbouring two zones; Abia North and Abia Central to support reciprocate our support by casting their vote for our adopted candidate, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu of the PDP. We urge all our friends and well wishers to give him their maximum support. It will be very wrong for the people who have been living with us to vote against our son. We will consider a great disservice to our people if any person or group decides to work against our son. The various non indigenous groups resident in Aba should support Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu and not allow themselves to be deceived by one of the governorship candidate who is confused about his ancestry.”

The duo maintained that a vote for Ikpeazu whom they described as the best among those seeking the office of governor, would restore the lost glory of Aba through rebuilding dead industries as well as the poor state of basic infrastructure in the area.
