Imo Deputy Governorship Forum Appeals For Violence Free Election

A group under the aegis of All Deputy Governorship Candidates Forum of Nigeria, Imo State chapter, has made a clarion call to the good people of Imo State to work together and diligently, too, to ensure a violence free Guber and House of Assembly Elections on Saturday, April 11, 2015.

In a statement signed by the Chairman of the Organisation, Mazi Elias Chukwuemeka, the pressure group also appealed to Political Parties' Agents to be law abiding and vigilant while doing their primary assignment of monitory and ensuring safe delivery of electoral materials from polling units through wards, and from local government Areas to the State on the Election Day.

The group, which draws its membership from twelve political parties also tacitly appealed to the people of Imo State to vote the State party, which will also pilot the affairs of the country at the centre, which is All Progressives Congress going by the emergence of General Mohammadu Buhari (rtd).

They therefore urged every Imolite to vote APC candidate, Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha and his deputy, Prince Eze Madumere, so as to guarantee the needed mutually rewarding relationship between the State and the Federal Government, which will be led by General Mohammadu 'Okechukwu' Buhari.

The group however stoutly admonish the people of Imo State ensure that Imo State never returns to the status of an opposition State thereby eliciting starvation of the State of any developmental projects occasioned by the principle of cooperative governance.

The group lamented the situation where the Governor of the State was made to suffer immensely with sweat in a bid meet up with the its obligations to the people by developing the State, ensuring security of life and property and still paid salaries as at when due.
