MD Yusuf, Former Police IGP Dead In Abuja

A former Inspector General of Police, Alhaji Muhammad Dikko Yusuf, popularly known as M.D Yusuf, has died in Abuja, family sources said late Wednesday.

The politician served as IGP in the 70s before retiring into politics where he unsuccessfully ran for president in the 90s.

Yusuf, a Muslim from Katsina State, will be interred according to Islamic rites on Thursday in Katsina.
