All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Delta State, Olorogun O'tega Emerhor (OON) has congratulated Nigeria's President-Elect, General Muhammadu Buhari (Rtd) and Vice-President Elect, Prof Yemi Osibanjo for their superlative victory at the polls.

Emerhor in a statement by his Director of Media & Political Communication, Dr. Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe described Buhari/Osibanjo victory as a divine and well deserved democratic phenomena which the supreme God mysteriously crafted to bring positive change to the socio-economic fortunes of the nation.

Emerhor asserted that Gen. Buhari and Prof Osibanjo are a super combination, a duo that will turn around the economic fortunes of Nigeria for the benefit of Nigerians and the entire black continent. He enjoined Nigerians to join hands with the APC and its leaders so as to collectively benefit substantial dividend of democracy which eluded Nigerians during the sixteen (16) years of PDP's misrule.

The APC candidate said the wishes and aspirations of the Nigerian people to elect responsible and prudent political leaders at this critical time of our nation's quest for economic remodeling have been expressed through the power of the ballot box, pointing out that the "great light" has finally sparkled on our country and now ready to take the center stage in progressive world affairs.

He commended the Chairman of Independent Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof Attahiru Jega for his courage in the ways and manner he handled the conduct of the 2015 presidential election and insisted that in Delta State, votes were manipulated by agents of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in collaboration with some unpatriotic INEC officials. He urged the INEC Boss to use his good office to fish out the bad eggs at the INEC office in the state.

In the same vein, the Acting President-General of the Urhobo Progress Union, Chief Tuesday Onoge described Gen. Buhari/Osibanjo's victory as timely and well deserved, adding that Urhobo Nation with over one million votes cannot be in opposition in the present democratic arrangements strategically designed to end the era of corruption and bad governance in Delta State in particular and Nigeria in general.

Chief Onoge called on the good people of Delta State to join hands with APC and the Urhobo Nation to vote Olorogun O'tega Emerhor as Governor of Delta State on April 11, pointing out that the oil rich state cannot afford to be in opposition for another eight (8) years for the fact that the socio-economic status of the state will be worsened if PDP wins the election as opposition party in a situation where the party could not develop the state since 1999 till date.

The UPU Acting President-General said "God has provided the apple opportunity for the next Governor of Delta State to come from the Urhobo extraction which is why all hands must be on deck to ensure that this opportunity does not elude UPU and the entire Urhobo Nation", the statement added.
