Emerhor In Ughelli South, Promise Greater Future For Deltans.

Ahead of Saturdays election, the gubernatorial candidate for the All Progressive Congress (APC) party in Delta State, Olorogun O'tega Emerhor has called on the people of Ughelli South local government area of the state to vote for General Mohammadu Buhari and all APC candidates in the state.

Emerhor made this call yesterday at Otujeremi, headquarters of Ughelli south council area while addressing all APC leaders, chairmen and party members in the council.

Emerhor advised the people of the council to strive and work together and ensure that they deliver the Presidential candidate of the party, and other candidates of the party, saying that better days are ahead for them if Buhari becomes the president of the country.

The APC candidate reminded the people that of the council that they cannot afford to remain in opposition because they have been suffering in the hands of the ruling party for the past 16 years, stressing that now is the time to liberate themselves from the shackles of slavery.

While calling on the people to be patient with the party leadership in the various units and wards, Emerhor reassured them that when the party gets into government it will bring development to their doorsteps.

Also speaking at the gathering, the Federal House of Representative candidate representing Ughelli South, North and Udu Federal Constituency, chief Andrew Orugbo, assured Emerhor that the people of Ughelli South are solidly behind all APC candidates, adding that the people of the area have decided to work for the victory of APC both in the presidential and governorship elections.

The APC candidate for the Delta state House of Assembly, representing Ughelli South constituency, Hon. Eme Mukoro, also assured Emerhor that the people of Ughelli South will deliver all APC candidates in all the elections.

In a similar development, Emerhor received royal blessings from the monarch of Ughievwen kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Matthew Ediri Egbi (JP), the Owhawha II, when he paid the monarch a courtesy call.

Speaking at the palace of the Ovie of Ughievwen kingdom, Emerhor reiterated that he is the authentic candidate of Urhobo people, and that his candidacy was in line with the Uwiamuge declaration that is in support of an Urhobo governor.

He urged the people of the kingdom not to be deceived by the antics of PDP and LP, saying both parties are working together as one and they want to divide Urhobo votes in the general elections.

He said the good people of Urhobo cannot afford to continue to suffer in the hands of PDP that has mismanaged the resources of the state and have relegated the Urhobo nation to background in the polity of the state.

He assured the monarch that if he is voted into power, he will attract massive development to Ughelli South and all parts of the state.

Responding the Ughievwen monarch assured Emerhor that his kingdom will fully support him in his quest of becoming the next governor of the state, adding that Emerhor is a true son of Urhobo nation who has always been in the forefront of fighting for the emancipation of Urhobo nation.

The monarch later prayed for Emerhor and gave him his royal blessings.
