Over 80 percent of Michika people have returned home, we need to cast our votes there- Says Group

A group under the auspices of Civil servants forum Michika Local Government Area, are appealing to the federal government to allow the Michika IDPs to cast their votes in their respective constituencies as over 80 percent of them are now in their various homes.

The group who came to the press centre numbering in hundreds issued a press statement, thanking Mr President(Goodluck Jonathan), appreciating the gallant Nigerian army and the Minister of Youth and Sport, Mr Boni Haruna for working around the cloak to halts the menace of insurgency.

They assured Journalist that normalcy has returned in their land, Mr Teri Bala Kwada who presented the paper said all Michika people prefer to cast their votes home than else where, calling all the remaining 20percent to rush home for final arrangement to have their votes casted home.

"Over 80percent of our people are already at Michika and more are also on their way, we there fore call on the federal Government and INEC to make sure that we are allowed to cast our voted in Michika come Saturday 28th March and 11th April,2015.

We are calling on all our people living in Yola and else where to continue relocating back home (Michika) to posses their possession at any given opportunity by the authorities". Bala said
