Tinubu’s Documentary: A Sign Buhari Is Not Corrupt.

Not that long ago, Sahara reporters published a document detailing the confiscation of Bola Ahmed Tinubu's wealth, which was linked to drug trafficking in 1993. Just of recent, Obasanjo also writes in his book, 'My Watch', that President Goodluck Jonathan, in 2011, bribed Tinubu to win votes in Lagos. While we keep crushing this eyesores, we are been fed by the propagandistic, nonetheless meaningful, documentary of this same Tinubu. It does not surprise us that this man is an artifact of condemnation for the People's Democratic Party (PDP). It tells us the kind of watchdog we need to hire when Buhari emerges. This will help in fighting in-house enemies of progress and the outside rodents gnawing the nation's economy.

An observer of political steps will not be dumbfounded that Tinubu is a corrupt politician. This is because it is a hypothesis that Nigeria still suffers from mismanagement, carefree attitudes from anti-graft bodies coupled with acts that shield political big Dads from law spanks, and many other corrupt modalities, which draws the nation near a sink point. These make us realize the kind of leaders we still have, and their carefree attitudes on the road to fighting corruption. Our maximum thanksgiving should be garnered toward Buhari corruption-free yesterdays. If the peoples' General was documented to having a quarter of what was claimed Tinubu has, then we need to burry our heads in shame. Campaigning would have been somewhat uneasy. We are grateful Baba exists without a farm that spans on four villages in Abuja.

When the groaning populace discarded every means employed to taint Buhari by these propagandists, they have no option than to show Tinubu's shady wealth. They are no choice than to haunt allies of Buhari who have skeleton in their wardrobes. Mounting debris on the supporters of Buhari brings satisfaction to their table. As they keep doing this, we should not disregard all their ranting. We should instead take some facts from their documentary. Where it does not call for a reply, we keep mute. But where it does, we dish them accordingly.

If we are not careful, people like Tinubu will be a clog in the wheel of APC's success when Buhari becomes the President. With the revealed properties of Tinubu and his corrupt weath generation, it is uneasy to deflate all that are embedded in the documentary, since we have not seen just a counter to the claims of the propagandists by anybody. Let us recollect, that Buhari who was a military Head of State does not own a jet, but Tinubu has a Jet. If you claim that the jet owned by Tinubu is not accrued through taxpayers' money, then, we need to ask you why Tinubu did not have a jet before 1999, why he did not own mansions before 1999. Besides, the case of Tinubu with the US government on the allegation of drug trafficking will make you feel unhappy, if in doubt.

The publisher of this documentary about Tinubu would have done the nation a memorable service by prosecuting Tinubu for using shady means to acquire wealth, but they could not because they are bird of a feather. In the ongoing political dispensation, none of the political office holders, as far as I known, has been condemned for corruption by the government or the anti-graft bodies. Are they saying none among the office holders is corrupt?

While Stella Oduah enjoys presidential pardon in Aso rock, Tinubu is being accused of corruption. The farmland acquired by Mr GEJ, which spans on three to four villages in the capital city, with inhabitants displaced without compensations, is not gotten through corrupt means, but houses acquired by Tinubu are . The allegation is that of pot calling kettle black, the accusers are in the same shoe with the accused.

We cannot be fanatical about the 'Who is who' in All Progressives Congress (APC) because a large number of them came from PDP, and are tutored by the corrupt politicians who learnt directly from the do or die philosophers. We have among them, those who seek asylum in APC, because they battle rancor in their formal political party. For these reasons, we need to cultivate a listening attitude towards any information, so we will not be of the same character with the political class that enmeshed the glory of Nigeria in odiferous lagoon, I mean the propagandists' party. Not accepting the inhumane ideas that survived from 1999 till today under the watch of some politicians who are today in APC, will give the incoming President Buhari a glory. If we are going to help Buhari, let us be observant of the attitudes of Tinubu, and those in his circus, because Buhari may be clean, but those who rally round him may not.

The question of how Tinubu went this far without been spanked by law signals that the country is on a pedestal of mismanagement, that only change in governance could solve. Buhari may not be able to prosecute Tinubu again, but we are optimistic the future will not bread looters. The zero tolerance for corruption that characterized Buhari's military leadership invents the confidence that he will not allow a corrupt office holder to go unpunished like this present administration.

We should also think otherwise. This documentary is not that encouraging, as it would have served a better part, if it were tendered before the court. So, it is aimed at tarnishing APC. However, it did not go a length in soiling the image of APC, instead, it makes us aware that PDP have not seen a better means to taint either Buhari or Osibanjo. That is why it goes after the supporter of APC. In this line, Tinubu is neither Buhari nor Osinbanjo, he is not the reason people are supporting Buhari. This is why we keep on saying 'Change' is what we deserve, and not 'Propaganda'. Thank you PDP, for reminding us that Tinubu is a student of the corrupt political days which will change come 28th of March 2015 by His grace. Meanwhile, CHANGE is still our choice.
