Kaga LG Provides Food Items To Own Fleeing Residents

Kaga local government council in Borno state, has presented food items to fleeing residents from of Shettimari, Galangi, Dongo and Burgumma communities within the council.

Chairman of Kaga LGA, Muhammed Abdullahi Buji, who visited the fleeing residents who are currently taking at refuge at Benisheikh, the headquarters of the council, presented 300 bags of rice, 300 bags of semovita, 100 bags of maize grit, saying that the food items are meant to cushion their hardship.

He directed the health personnel of the council to take necessary preventive measure on any outbreak of disease, describing the conditions of the fleeing residents as un- hygienic, saying if care is not be taken immediately things will not go well.

The charman conveyed Governor Kashim Shettima's message of sympathy to the displaced persons, saying the Governor has commiserated with them over their plight.

Secretary and Director General Services of the council, Lawan Bukar Wasaram and Zannah Shettima who spoke separately urged the displaced persons to maintain law and order as government is committed to ensuring their wellbeing, adding that they should continue praying for lasting peace in the state.
