Call your wife to order, APC tells Jonathan, as AIT asks for N100 Billion damages from Tinubu

The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Organisation (APCPCO) has called on President Goodluck Jonathan to call his wife, Dame Patience Jonathan, to order.

APC recent statements credited to her, confirmed that Mrs Jonathan was “an incredibly crude woman.”

The APC Campaign, in a statement signed by its Director of Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, however, expressed gratitude to Nigerians for putting up with her.

APCPCO said that it was not only insulting for Mrs. Jonathan to describe the presidential candidate of APC, General Muhammadu Buhari , as “brain-dead,” but that it was also demeaning of her status as the First Lady.

Meanwhile, Daar Communications Plc, has laughed off the demands of Tunji Abayomi and co on behalf of Bola Tinubu over a documentary entitled “Unmasking The Real Tinubu” aired on African Independent Television, AIT.

Tinubu had ordered for the stoppage of further transmission of the alleged defamatory documentary and retraction as failure to do so would attract N20bn lawsuit.

Counsel to the Raymond Dokpesi's led media outfit, Mike Ozekhome said that AIT, in transmitting the said libelous documentary was only carrying out its constitutional responsibility to uphold the fundamental objectives of the constitution.

It states further that the documentary merely stated that Bola Tinubu generally breached various portions of the Nigerian constitution.

DAAR Communications Plc is therefore demanding a complete withdrawal of the letter under reference, which must be given wide publicity as that accorded the letter from the chambers of Tunji Abayomi.

The media company demand is demanding an apology to be published in at least four leading national newspapers and four television stations, which must include NTA, Channels and AIT

The sum of N100 billion representing aggravated, punitive and exemplary damages for the irreparable injury inflicted on AIT, is also being demanded.
