President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday, unveiled the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ward Volunteer Scheme at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The President reiterated that the PDP was sure of victory come March 28 and April 11, 2015.

He challenged other parties to march their performances with those of the PDP not minding intimidation.

The President said that those who have not done anything have been intimidating the ruling party because the party has not been marketing itself.

He said that no matter the intimidation mounted against members of the ruling party by opposition parties, no political party would be able to beat the Peoples Democratic Party in the coming election.

In the same vein, the Director-General of the Jonathan Campaign Organisation, Senator Ahmadu Ali, said that some foreign countries were opposed to Jonathan's re-election bid because Jonathan kicked against and signed the anti-same-sex bill into law.

He added also that the country could not afford a repeat of the era when Nigerians were crated and were ordered to be brought back to the country either dead or alive.

Speaking about the rationale behind the event, the Director, Contact and Mobilisation, Presidential Campaign Organisation, Prof. Jerry Gana, said that the event was meant to form greater synergy in the party's campaign so that every candidate would be campaigning for all party candidates.

Speakers at the event jointly agreed that the meeting was to fine-tune election strategies and if diligently implemented, they would translate into victory for the party at all levels. - Channels.
