Defacing Of Buhari’s Campaign Pictures Is Deceptive, Masterminded By APC—PDP

By Rivers State PDP

The Rivers State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has observed with dismay, an indecent campaign strategy by the All Progressives Party, APC, whereby the pictures of its Presidential Candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari are defaced while that of its Governorship Candidate, Dakuku Peterside not disfigured on most of the APC bill boards in parts of Port Harcourt by some APC supporters ostensibly to indict political opponents.

Describing such action as a failed quest to mislead the public and blackmail its political opponents, the PDP in a statement signed by Jerry Needam, Special Adviser on Media to the State Chairman, Bro Felix Obuah said the idea is to swindle the people's mind from Gen. Buhari to one of their own, Dakuku Peterisde of the same APC.

The PDP sees this action as an after thought arising from a warped mind that wants one of its own as an Ijaw governor, and yet rejects a true Ijaw Son, president Goodluck Jonathan as the Nation's President.

This, according to the PDP is not only contradictory but also smacks of ignorance.

It's therefore, imperative to make this political development in the State public because we see no rationale in wasting Rivers Tax Payers' Money on campaigning for Buhari and Dakuku and only realizing at the last minute that Buhari is not good enough to be President of Nigeria, PDP remarked.

“Discriminating between Dakuku Peterside as Governorship Candidate of the APC and Buhari as the Presidential Standard bearer of same party by members of the APC in Rivers State this last minute is a wrong political undertaking which presents them as being naive.

The best bet remains Dr. Goodluck Jonathan for the President and Chief Nyesom Wike as Governor for Rivers State.

We wish to enjoin our people to vote wisely by rejecting both Buhari and Dakuku and not to be deceived by the APC last minute ploy. They are birds of the same feather”, the PDP stated.
