Don’t Politicize Freddy Ndigbara’s Kidnap, PDP Tells Amaechi, APC

...Calls For His Unconditional Release

By Rivers State PDP

The Rivers State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has condemned the politicization of the kidnap of Mr. Freddy Ndigbara, a staff of the Rivers State Council for Arts and Culture by the outgoing Governor of the State, Rotimi Amaechi and All Progressives Congress, APC.

The PDP in a statement by the Special Adviser to the State Chairman on Media, Jerry Needam said though the kidnap of Mr. Freddy Ndigbara from his home town, Kaani, Khana Local Government Area of the State in the early hours of Saturday, February 21, 2015 is regrettable, it should not be politicized rather everyone, irrespective of political affiliations should be committed to ensuring his immediate and unconditional release.

The PDP while absolving members of the party of any complicity in the kidnap of Mr. Ndigbara and other acts of violence in the State, admonishes Rotimi Amaechi and the APC to always allow the security agencies do their work and rather than wallow in fruitless suspicion should look inwards before rushing to the press with concocted lies aimed at deceiving Rivers People into believing such unfounded fairy tales.

While reaffirming the resolve of all its candidates to violence free electioneering campaigns and elections, the PDP calls for a stop to all acts capable of provoking crisis and heating up the system as well as the immediate and unconditional release of Mr. Freddy Ndigbara by his abductors.

The Party also urges youths in the State to refrain from violence and acts inimical to the peace and development of the State.
