The leadership of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has declared that the party would shock the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the six geopolitical zones of the country at the polls on March 28.

The party said it would claim a resounding victory for its candidate, President Goodluck Jonathan.

Speaking with newsmen in Abuja, on Tuesday, while reviewing the PDP presidential campaign tour of the zones, the national deputy chairman of the party, Prince Uche Secondus, said the party was overwhelmed by the warm reception accorded it and its presidential candidate and was convinced that PDP was unstoppable at the polls.

According to him, 'the president is not going to lose the election. I am telling you emphatically that we will win this election convincingly in the six geopolitical zones. Even in the South-West, we will shock them,

'We will do far better than we did in 2011 in the entire North generally, despite the security challenges we are facing over there.

'There is no shaking In the North-West, especially Kano, where we lost the governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, to the APC, but we gained the incumbent education minister, Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau and he is going to make the difference.'

While expressing confidence that APC would be disappointed with result of the presidential election in the South-West, despite the fact that its vice presidential candidate, Professor Yemi Oshibanjo, hail from the zone.

'If you look well, the  projects commissioned by President Jonathan in the last few weeks were in the South-West, including two power projects,' he said.

He mentioned the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway as one of the projects in the region that could sway vote in favour of President Jonathan.

On the alleged crack in the party's National Working Committee (NWC), he said 'forget about that, everybody is working. We don't go on imaginary journey, we deal with reality. Everybody here is working for the president.'
