THANK YOU ANUNSITES, THANK YOU LADOKITES.

It is a thing of joy to handover a tidied portfolio to someone, more so to a lady, and above all, a beautiful one; who you're sure of that she'll keep it well and out of the reach of the vandals. Today, Jan. 25, 2015, I'm to handover this portfolio of the Public Relations Officer to someone, I'm happy to have a successor, as it is always said that: success without successor amounts to failure.

On May 3, 2013, we, the media team, ably led by the then Public Relations Officer of the Students' Union, Alabi Kayode, ALOPAY, working towards the production of the 'LAUTECH Chronicles Magazine', hosted a programme tagged: LAUTECH Students' Enterprise, where we inaugurated the “All-Nigeria United Nations Students & Youth Association (ANUNSA).

We the members of the media team were the ultimate members of the inaugurated organization. It took us the courage, passion, determination, dedication, perseverance, spirit for selfless service to humanity and the enthusiasm to render our services to and build a strong and formidable student organization. With dedicated members and later a strong team of Executive, we were able to hold successful programmes like the LAUTECH Students' Enterprise 1 & 2, Operation Defend Your Department, Charity Week e.t.c.

ANUNSA has achieved so many feats with many members- dedicated ones; and it stands as one of (if not the) most reputable and respected organization in our campus. Today, I must say I'm fulfilled to see an organization which we planted and watered, now spring-forth for progress; I'm proud to be part of this history. I'm also honoured to have served as the pioneer Public Relations Officer of this reputable and respected organization.

Being an Image Maker of a Student Organization is not easy at all, more so a newly inaugurated one with its mission to charge the students to strive for National, Economic, Social and Cultural Liberation and against any form of Neo-colonialism; and for them to express freely their views for action in contributing towards Social Reconstruction and National Development.

The task wasn't easy then, but today, I thank God. I believe I've played my roles the best it could be played and that I've done my best. I therefore, thank you all for allowing me the chance to do the wee bit I did. I thank you all for the support. You're all part of this success story. Thank s to you all!

Conclusively, I wish to specially congratulate my successor, in person of Busari Azeezat, who also happens to be a comrade-in-pen. Accept my heartfelt congratulations and my best wishes for your success as you prepare to take the responsibilities and challenges of your office.

Meanwhile, I need to remind you that you're now ANUNSA's spin doctor and your duty is to put the best face on news and information that could embarrass or malign ANUNSA's reputation; and often polish mundane information into platinum facts that gives our organization more credit than would ordinarily be due for routine accomplishments.

Once again, congratulations to you my dear, I wish you a successful tenure in office. May Allah help thee.
