Fear Of Prosecution For Corruption, Reason For Pdp Ethnic And Religious Politics - Madumere

While calling on Ndi Igbo to massively vote Buhari for President and Owelle Rochas Okorocha for Imo Governor with other APC candidates at all levels last Saturday, Imo Deputy Governor and Deputy Governorship candidate of APC, Prince Eze Madumere has attributed the ethnic and religious sentiment being played up by the People's Democratic Party to fear of facing justice for its alleged corrupt practices.

Speaking to a mammoth crowds at different spots that had flagged him down especially at Umunoha Market Square in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State, the number two citizen of Imo State said the PDP led government has ruined Nigerian economy owing to corruption and maladministration, which he said is not unconnected to unpatriotic and self serving agenda of the members of the party.

He further called on Ndi Igbo never to fall to cheap PDP propaganda in which they allege that General Buhari, the APC Presidential candidate, will Islamize Nigeria. He described such as not only divisive and unpatriotic but capable of plunging the country into irretrievable crises.

He however defended General Buhari (rtd) as a patriotic leader who at no time ever show sign of religious intolerance. In his explanation, he reminded the people that during the regime of General Buhari, Christians dominated both his cabinet and Administrators.

" General Buhari did not just have Christians in his cabinet and as Governors but they outnumbered Muslims as well. When he was advised sign Nigeria into becoming a member State of Organization of Islamic Congress, Gen. Buhari refused blatantly on the basis that Nigeria is a secular State. In his home, he has Christians as his direct employees yet he did not Islamize them how much more our country under a democratic government where amendment is cumbersome", he queried.

He therefore admonished the people to ignore PDP and their propaganda as the fear is Buhari's zero tolerance to corruption. He

Speaking further, Prince Madumere called on the people to vote APC if they desire a guarantee on free education, security of lives and property, provision of jobs, affordable health care and general revitalization of the Nigerian economy that is in comatose at present.

He however called on the youths and women to ensure they pick their PVCs and come out en mass to vote for change while encouraging the youth to ensure they protect their votes against electoral thieves and warned against violence.
