Eight women reportedly survived weekend's ghastly auto accident in Bayelsa State in which Elizabeth, wife of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Prof. Edmund Allison-Oguru and ten other women lost their lives.

Pointblanknews.com had broken the story on the accident which reportedly occurred at the Rivers State end of the East-West road.

Eye-witnesses told Pointblanknews.com that eight survivors were rushed to hospitals in Ahoada, Rivers State.

The women were said to be returning from Port Harcourt after a meeting with First Lady Dame Patience Jonathan.

Pointblanknews.com could not ascertain the cause of the accident. It was, however, gathered that several burnt corpses were found in the burnt out ill-fated bus conveying the women.

Ironically, adopted mum of Dame Patience Jonathan had in July 2013 died in an auto crash on the same East-West road.
