2015: Mark sues for Peaceful Conducts Of polls

President of the Senate, Senator David Mark has called on Nigerians to ensure a peaceful conduct ‎of the general elections beginning on February 14, 2015.

Senator Mark, who stated this at the Formal Presentation of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) House of Assembly candidate for Kabba/Bunu of Kogi state, Prince Olushola Kolawole Mathew,‎ in Abuja, also urged Nigerians to support President Goodluck Jonathan and all the candidates of the PDP.

The President of the Senate, who was represented at the event by Senator Tunde Ogbeha, explained that the PDP remained the party that guarantees national cohesion for our country.

“I urge Nigerians to vote enmass for President Goodluck Jonathan and all the party's candidates,' he said.

Describing the Kabba/Bunu House of Assembly candidate as “credible and qualitative” he‎ said Prince Kolawole would not be a disappointment if elected but would be an asset to his people and the Kogi State House of Assembly.

Earlier, the Federal House of Representatives Member (Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Constituency), Hon. Tajudeen Yusuf, said he was excited by his victory and Kolawole's because according to him, “our people spoke in one voice.”

He assured that the PDP will be victorious. “Our people are PDP and they have always delivered PDP. We will work together as a team and I will work for Kolawole,” he further said.

In his remarks, Vice Admiral Joseph Ajayi(RTD) said he was delighted to

witness a day like this.
He Called on politicians and the youths to shun violence and embrace peace.

He said Kabba had always been known for PDP and pointed out that he does not believe APC as a party exist in the local government.

He urged electorate to vote Prince Kolawole and the PDP in all the

elections.
