Issues In The Sexual Abuse Of Female Lunatics

Sexual abuse of female lunatics has been recognized as the worst form of violence against women. Perceptive analysts see it as the major public health and violations of women's human right.

Most often we come across pregnant lunatics undergoing the trauma of childbirth and members of the society just go. About their business without any qualms of conscience. More so, we sometimes see mad women carrying their own babies on the streets. This, no doubt, makes both the baby and the mother vulnerable.

Also, it is a basic fact that some women are part of this luciferous syndicate who are out to completely and eternally debase womanhood by their shameless involvement in women, child and girls trafficking and human rituals.

Given the prevalent nature of this degrading act, which is now on the front burner of global discourse, together with the threat it poses to Nation Building, the Ngozi Juliet Olejeme Foundation; a Non Governmental Organization (NGO) recently decried the level of sexual harassments on female lunatics in the society.

This was evident during a one day sensitization talk the Chairman/Founder of the Foundation; Dr Mrs. Ngozi Juliet Olejeme held in Asaba, Delta State with the Youths, Student Union leaders, and community leaders at the Foundation Hall in Asaba.

Dr Mrs. Olejeme who spoke passionately on this societal ill said that those men who are involved in the act are wicked to humanity and are committing sin against God. She further disclosed that her recent visit to orphanage homes across some states revealed that most of the children in the orphanage homes are children recovered from lunatics. "The future of children delivered by these lunatics are mostly vulnerable due to lack of parental attention". She therefore advised those who perpetuate this degrading act to be courageous enough to take up the responsibility of their children from the lunatics in order to reduce the number of vulnerable children on the Nigerian streets.

In addition, Olejeme explained that mostly, ritualists believe that having sex with lunatics is the most potent antidote to most problems. She however condemned this wrong notion stating that the quest for money and power is transient.

Dr Ngozi Olejeme who is the Chairman of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) concluded by calling on the National Assembly to enact a law that will checkmate the impunity of those who indulge in this act in our society. She equally advised State Commissioners for Women Affairs, Social Welfare Officers, Security Agents and the general public to come together and speak with one voice against the increase in the sexual abuse of lunatics. "women should not be seen as the most active ingredient of demonic condition. Also women who are part of this act against womanhood should desist in order to avoid the wrath of God".
