Soldiers Repel Boko Haram Attacks On Maiduguri, Munguno

Barely 24 hours after the campaign train of President Goodluck Jonathan left Maiduguri, capital of Borno State, soldiers from the 7th Division of Nigerian Army successfully repelled an attempt by Boko Haram terrorists to attack the city.

Military sources told Pointblanknews.com that the terrorists had Saturday night attempted to storm strategic parts of the city, but were stopped by soldiers and vigilante operatives.

According to the sources, the terrorists were disturbed by President Jonathan's recent frequenting of Borno State in the light of claims that it was totally under Boko Haram control.
