Curfew imposed as military deploys fighter jets to rout Boko Haram in Borno

The Nigeria's Defence Headquarters has tweeted an update on ongoing operation around Maiduguri and Mongunu in Borno State. It stated: 'Troops are repelling a simultaneous attack on Monguno and Maiduguri by Terrorists.' It added: 'Coordinated Air and Land OPs being conducted now.' Meanwhile curfew has been imposed on Maiduguri with immediate effect till further notice.
