Nigeria: Military Imposes Curfew In Maiduguri, Repels Boko Haram's Bid To Take Over City, Monguno
BEVERLY HILLS, January 25, (THEWILL) – The Nigerian military is currently repelling simultaneous attacks by Boko Haram terrorists around Maiduguri, the Borno State capital and Mongunu.
The military has launched an offensive against the terrorists by deploying tanks, attack helicopters and war planes, according to reports.
It has also declared a dusk to dawn curfew effective immediately, according to PRNigeria, a new agency.
Nigeria's Defence Headquarters in a tweet said “Troops are repelling a simultaneous attack on Monguno and Maiduguri by Terrorists.”
It added that “Coordinated Air and Land OPs being conducted now.”
