Nigeria: Military Imposes Curfew In Maiduguri, Repels Boko Haram's Bid To Take Over City, Monguno

BEVERLY HILLS, January 25, (THEWILL) – ‎The Nigerian military is currently repelling simultaneous attacks by Boko Haram terrorists around Maiduguri, the Borno State capital and Mongunu.

‎The military has launched an offensive against the terrorists by deploying tanks, attack helicopters and war planes, according to reports.

It has also declared a dusk to dawn curfew effective immediately, according to PRNigeria, a new agency.

Nigeria's Defence Headquarters ‎in a tweet said “Troops are repelling a simultaneous attack on Monguno and Maiduguri by Terrorists.”

It added that “Coordinated Air and Land OPs being conducted now.”
