First Clean the Mess in your House, Party, Orji's Aide Replies Udensi

Abia State Government has asked the governorship candidate of the Progressive Peoples Alliance (PPA), Chief Chikwe Udensi, to first clean the mess in his (Udensi 's) confused house and his dead party before making unfounded allegations against the state government.

Udensi had in a recent media remark, said he joined the governorship race to clean up the mess in Abia created by Governor Theodore Orji.

Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr. Charles Ajunwa, in a statement made available to journalists in Umuahia, said Udensi lacked the competence and capacity to run an effective business outfit let alone governing a state.

He described Udensi's governorship ambition as a wishful thinking and a huge political joke.

According to him, the PPA governorship candidate was bereft of programmes and ideas on how to run the state if given the opportunity, hence his serial media attacks on the person and office of the governor for cheap popularity.

"How can a political lillipute like Udensi who cannot even win a booth be talking of cleaning the so-called mess in Abia when his party and house are emitting odious stench.

"Udensi has further exposed his ignorance about governance by talking of scrapping security votes when he is not yet governor. We have seen political noisemakers like Udensi whose only trade in stock is to make bogus promises.

Ajunwa reminded Udensi that "you do not win election by disparaging the revered office of the Governor. If you show no respect to the authorities of the day, you will be dishonoured by others tomorrow".

He advised Udensi to concentrate his campaign efforts on what he intends to do for Abians instead of dissipating energy to discredit the incumbent administration.

Ajunwa noted that the giant strides of Governor Orji's administration are very obvious and laudable that the antics and rantings of the governor's opponents can never deny or wish them away.

According to him, the infrastructural transformation across the state, the youth empowerment scheme, and the agricultural revolution are all sure testimonials of the positive impacts of Governor Orji's government in the state.

He expressed confidence that despite the campaigns of hate and calumny by Udensi and his likes, Abians would massively vote for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming elections to continue with the solid foundations he had laid.
