The main suspect in the N750m Delta State Peoples Democratic Party governorship  bribe, has indicted many party stalwarts.

The suspect, who surrendered to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Abuja  last Friday, was said to have mentioned the names of PDP chieftains that shared the money which was given by a governorship aspirant, Ndudi Elumelu, to procure the party ticket during the PDP primary in Delta State.

It was gathered that the suspect who was released on bail by the EFCC on Sunday, reported to the commission on Monday and made further statements on how the N750m he received from Elumelu was shared by high ranking PDP members who promised to influence the party primary in the lawmaker's favour.

An official  close to the case said the commission was most likely to establish a case of obtaining money by false pretext against the suspect.

According to the official, Elumelu had in a petition to the EFCC, alleged that the suspect collected the money from him with a promise that ‎he would aid his emergence as the PDP governorship candidate in Delta. Punch
