An Empirical Pointer To What Is Paramount In The Minds Of Nigerians

Consider this alternative title:
"A Comparative Analysis Of How Group Activities Can Be An Empirical Pointer To Where The Shoe Pinches The Average Nigerian".

Seems more apt to the issue at hand....but too long for a title...

So, let's make do with that on top of this page!
When I decided to found some online groups, little did I realise that the core objectives of such groups, the way people strive to achieve membership, contribute articles to the pages of the groups, and otherwise participate in group activities by way of commenting passionately on topics, would be a pointer to what is paramount in the minds of Nigerians and an indication of the want in the land!

ANALYTICAL MINDS: https://m.facebook.com/groups/119054961573967?_e_pi_=7%2CPAGE_ID10%2C4944126532,

Membership nearly 10,000 with nearly 40 requests for membership per notification at the last count. Main reasons being the main thrust of the group is to critique current governance and proffer solutions. If there is hunger in the land and social indices are at their lowest ebbs, you would expect that so many articles would be submitted and debates would be hot. And that is exactly the case as Admins are ever on their toes to check the emotions of panelists! Over 50 articles are submitted daily....requesting for approvals....compounding the workload of the Admins...

DOCTORS FORUM:
https://m.facebook.com/groups/564460626920672?_e_pi_=7%2CPAGE_ID10%2C2951793390

A group exclusively for medical doctors.
Membership just over 700! Much less than a figure of 10,000 just quoted for another group, isn't it? Reason probably being that doctors tend to be too buried in their professional schedules to bother about group activities...even if such associations are primed to better their lives!

Article contribution is relatively low....as well as responses to those ever posted.

....the newest of all
....so a current membership of sub-50 would not raise eyebrows!

But with the colour of comments from respondents depicting nonchalance to unnecessary pain and suffering to animals, the founder is ever skeptical that the group will achieve a rapid growth in membership in these climes! People may think: "Why should we bother about animal rights when there is so much human rights abuse in the nation?" They may wonder why they should belabour themselves with such issues when hunger and want pervades the land...."enia o ri'bi sun, aja nhan'run"!

48 hours after inauguration, no articles other than those of the founder. So, no debates...

Yet....
Bad governance has touched our lives in so many ways. Has it not?
