Scores Feared Dead As Another Bomb Hits Gombe

Several persons were feared killed late Monday morning when an explosion hit a bus park in Gombe, capital of Gombe State.

This is the second attack on Gombe since 31st October when suspected suicide bombers hit a bus park in the capital city.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the Monday attack.

However, security sources said it bore the fingerprints of Boko Haram.

At least 15 persons have been confirmed dead in the attack which occurred in Dukku motor park, in the heart of the town. Several passengers traveling for Christmas were seriously injured.

A combined team of the police, fire service, civil defenders, and officials of National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) were sighted retrieving bodies and helping the wounded.
