The Game On battle intensifies between Lanre Da Silva Ajayi and Amokachi at Guinness' End of Year Party
It was just the end of the year party for Guinness Nigeria to celebrate its staff but not for popular fashion designer, Lanre da Silva Ajayi and football legend, Daniel Amokachi, captains of the fashion and football teams respectively on Malta Guinness's exciting new show, Game On. Both were in attendance at the event which took place at the Guinness HQ, in Ikeja, Lagos and decided to seize the opportunity to support their passions!
Game On, which premiered on Sunday, December 14, 2014 is a legacy platform created by Malta Guinness. The show seeks to find the true passion of Naija and also change the life of the winner with a lifetime opportunity to progress their career on the world stage.
There was little indication that the audience knew they were going to witness an intense debate about the show and the individual passions. It began when Daniel Amokachi in his remarks congratulating Guinness on its 2014 successes and the debut of the Game On show took jabs at the fashion team, showing pride in his team of coaches, saying they will undoubtedly be winning the trophy. "Just like the whole world I can't wait for Nigerians to choose and I know Naija will be rooting for the football team" he said.
Effervescent designer Lanre would have none of this and so she took the mic which led to another round of intense and rib cracking debating with the audience torn on whose side to be. "I'm very excited at the idea of working with Malta Guinness to help the Fashion team contestants achieve their dreams and hopefully change someone's life at end of the show." she added. The party continued with a musical performance from one of Nigeria's finest acts, Phyno.
The debate however left many eager to watch the show which promises to be as entertaining, yet inspiring with the highest technical quality as Malta Guinness gears up to show the world that no one can be as passionate as Nigerians.
