MILITARY AND BOKOHARAM IN NIGERIA: WHY THE SIMILITUDE OF FAILURE

The origin of bokoharam in Nigeria is translucent tied to the statement of a top brat politician to the present President Goodluck Jonathan that “I will make your government ungovernable”. That is not to be taken for granted anyway. Soon after that, the dove coats were fluttered, wild dogs were let loose. Tigering the forests and leoparding the jungles became imminent. Religious chauvinism turned a palatable ideology. Settling political scores with these religions bigots became the in-thing in Northern Nigeria.

A closer look, however, would reveal a bit distant past origination. There was the maintasine group of the early eighties 1980 – 1984 that mesmerized Shagari Administration in the then Gongola State. Somehow Abdulraman Shugaba as the Governor was linked to it and there was reverberations of indigene-settler saga that culminated to this back load to Chad.

However, his political demiss could not put a stop to the rampage. Then came the military open-secret tantrums with Organisation of Islamic Countries (OIC). In 1986 precisely, the military top brat smuggled Nigeria into OIC, a masterstroke that introduced the hoopla called sharia in 1999. No tracing of bokoharam without maintasine, devoid of OIC and neglect of Sharia of 1999 constitution.

Since 1999, hell has been let loose because the incubator of terrorism is legalized in Nigerian 1999 Constitution. Yes, Sharia is the master stroke of bokoharam in Nigeria. What is the use of sharia in the constitution of a federal state? Is that not a misfit? But Obasanjo, going about now deceiving himself in the touted fight against Jonathan was stoutly warned by the late Gani Fawehimi (SAN), who himself was a devot muslim, to remove sharia from Nigeria's Constitution calling it a time bomb. General Obasanjo retorted “it will die a natural death” referring to bokoharam, distancing sharia from bokoharam.

Today, he has realized that the reason for bokoharam is legalization of sharia, judging a segment of Nigerian Federal State according to islamic dictates. Aberration!, Aberration!!, Aberration!! so we sink to the sharkful of deep Atlantic. Guess what happened!!! Nigeria is sent to the political hangman by the giant ants as footsoldiers of sharia Christened bokoharam.

Goodluck Jonathan came on board as a greenhorn, no doubt. He has maintained non comitality to arresting and prosecuting known sponsors of bokoharam, fearing the unknown. The military boys have tried their best to overpower this sect to no avail. What is the propeller of this animalistic boldness of bokoharam?

A million naira question begging for answers. A bird-eye view would rather unfold a schematic upbeat of religious connotation in the theocratic miasma.

JIHAD AND MILITARY INCURSION
It is necessary to understand that bokoharam is incubated by jihad. But to understand jihad, it is imperative to know the various meanings according to islamic jurisprudence. Jihad could mean struggling with oneself to overcome fleshly desires so sinful to dissuade man. So by those proponents, one can engage in jihad against himself. Jihad could also mean disputations against established norm or practice deemed necessary for change. By such definitions, activists' fight to change mischievous political permutations is jihadic.

But in the three definitions, according to islamic jurisprudence, the one of fighting for “God” is the most prevalent, and it was this that Mohammed the prophet of islam practiced in his 67 wars he fought on earth before he died on 8th June, 632 AD around 11 AM.

It is of necessity to observe that jihad is one of the pillars of islam. But understanding of what really is jihad and how it is carried out makes the while hog of difference. To understand the background of jihad the following questions are raised:

1) What is jihad?
2) Who is mandated in Koran to carryout jihad?
3) Who is exempted from fighting jihad as a muslim?
4) What are the consequences of a muslim not obeying the injunction of Mohammed the prophet of islam in jihad?
5) What does Koran teach a muslim to do to non muslims?

WHAT IS JIHAD?
Mr. President, jihad simply means fighting for “God”. No man can really fight for someone that is stronger than he is. It is baseless to do so as much as it is meaningless.

WHO IS MANDATED IN KORAN TO CARRYOUT JIHAD?
According to islamic jurisprudence, every muslim “no exception” is mandated to fight jihad and force unbelievers in islam to covert to islam or be taxed or killed whichever is appropriate in the circumstance. The only people exempted from jihad are the physically challenged. Even at that, they are to be praying for the success of other jihadist muslims fighting in battle. So, jihad is a compulsion for every muslim.

WHO IS EXEMPTED FROM JIHAD?
We have answered it. It is the physically challenged.

WHAT ARE CONSEQUENCES OF A MUSLIM NOT OBEYING THE INJUNCTION OF MOHAMMED THE PROPHET OF ISLAM IN JIHAD?

Koran advocates equal punishment of either killing or banishment or excommunication, whichever is most appropriate in the circumstance. That is why bokoharam are killing fellow muslims for being non committal to the course of jihad.

WHAT DOES KORAN TEACH A MUSLIM TO DO TO NON MUSLIMS?

Koran advocates total killing or harsh treatment. Koran teaches that any non believer in islam is enemy of “God”.

ANALYSIS
The five (5) issues addressed above make it impossible for any muslim to really fight islamic insurgency because it is always seen as part of jihad. It is only modernity that is making some muslims, especially the exposed and well traveled ones to accept democracy and embrace change.

Otherwise, islam founded by Mohammed the prophet of islam is not democratic at all.

WHY NIGERIAN MILITARY APPEAR TO BE HAVING SERIOUS SETBACK FIGHTING BOKOHARAM?

The reason is triac all subsumed in the word sabbortage.

(i) Intra sabbortage
This sabbortage bespeaks the reason d'eter for jihad and the conscription of the conscience of every muslim to, without recourse to personal reasoning, join in jihad against non believers in islam. Intra-sabbortage simply means that sabbortage that is within. Hence in military parlance, it is the sabbortage by co-military officers who have soft spot for jihad being carried out by bokoharam though outwardly they wear Nigerian military uniform as soldiers, but are inimical to any attempt by fellow soldiers to outwit and conquer bokoharam. While in Nigerian military uniform, sent to fight bokoharam, reaching in battle, they rather liaise with bokoharam insurgents, leak official secrets to the insurgents, expose military tactics and the fellow military men are thereby routed and killed. Recall Mr. President, that former GOC 7th Mechanized Division of Nigerian Army Maiduguri – Major General Mohammed sold out to bokoharam and mislead fellow military men in battle to be butchered by the bokoharam insurgents. He was only retired.

The probability of a muslim soldier fighting bokoharam without bending overwheels towards Koranic commandments on jihad to every muslim and sell out is less than 5%. Only One (1) in every one thousand (1000) muslim military men can forget koranic injunctions to really fight bokoharam.

(b) Inter sabortage
This sabbortage is by civilians working with some muslim military men to frustrate the fight against bokoharam. Recall that the kidnap of 276 Chibok girls was made possible because of clandestine agreement between bokoharam insurgents on one hand and school authorities, Borno State Government and some military men detailed there. Recall that no challenge of the insurgents until they had field day. And as soon as they left, the military men came. Recall that Borno State Governor was told to transfer the students to Maiduguri where there is better security, but he refused. Recall that the School Principal never raised alarm until they finished.

Recall that the security detailed there never raised arum to shoot until the bokoharam finished. Mr. President, I then ask you, was the kidnap of the 276 Chibok girls not a planned deal?

Mr. President, a judge sentenced one bokoharam member caught in the act in 2011 to around three (3) years imprisonment quoting non existence of terrorism Land in Nigeria. That judge is a muslim. That bokoharam member is free today, parambulating around, but have killed so many.

Mr. President Charity Uzoechina was kidnapped and forcefully married out without the consent of her parents by a muslim lawyer at Bida in Niger State. Kangaroo Judge, kangaroo High Court, Kangoroo Lawyers were arranged at Bida to convert her to islam and marry her out without the consent of her parents. Mr. President, several uncountable girls are being kidnapped on daily basis as Christians in far islamic enclaves of Northern Nigeria and forced to convert to islam and marry muslims. Mr. President, there are more than 10,000 of such girls in far Northern Nigeria as islamic enclaves.

The efforts of the security agents to get these Christian ladies out from the islamic cage is constantly being frustrated by imams, sultan, sheiks, and islamic scholars. In the compounds and inner chambers of sultan of Sokoto, etsu Nupe, emir of Zaria, emir of Kwandu, all such islamic emirs and lords in far Northern Nigerian enclaves, there are highly innumerable Christian Ladies kidnapped from their parents, locked up, gradually being married out to muslims without the consent of their parents.

Mr. President, you need to understand the workability of islam as a religion before you can rightly fight bokoharam successfully. islam as a religion does not brook opposition. Infact, the word “islam” is an Arabic word meaning 'surrender”. Everything about islam is tailored towards making you surrender to a superior force. Because, it is surrender, it does not appeal to freedom of conscience.

Herein comes the force of modernity, Mr. President islam practised by Mohammed, being practised by bokoharam, isis, isil, aquaida, etc, islam being practised by sultans, emirs, sheiks etc, is not democratic at all: does not appeal to conscience. But Mr. President this is not to demonize all muslims. No, not at all. We have very many muslims that now believe in 100% freedom of conscience and force of reasoning. But their voice is being swallowed up by the established terror of long-existing islamism.

(c) International Sabbortage
Many international forces have vested interests in Nigeria. Many of such interests are inimical to the development of the Country. I ask, why is that America sent special military attachee to resolve bokoharam but they could not do anything? One may quickly say that Barak Obama gave them special mandate of not intervening? Why has Britain refused to come directly?

A panorama of this thought would recall international sabbortage against Nigeria's effort to fight bokoharam. Because Nigeria refused Barak Obama's homosexuality and Lesbianism free laws, that is, the gay marriage Act, they schemed against Nigeria to frustrate all efforts to subdue bokoharam. Nigeria officially listed to purchase arms to fight bokoharam, USA blocked it.

USA reneged from being Nigeria's chiefest buyer of crude oil, and from the intertwining political fireworks, naira was devalued by the USA's crony in the ministry of Finance by name Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala. So, international politics can never favour Nigeria in the fight against bokoharam so far as pecuniary interests of the so-called world powers are not protected.

THE SOLUTION
1) Make Nigeria, a perfect (100%), secular state where no religion is respected. No Church or mosque building should be found in any government arena.

2) Sharia, sharia court, sharia court of Appeal should be EXPUNGED from the Constitution.
3) Nigeria should be 100% deleted from OIC diary as a member.
4) islam must be made to embrace change and modernity.
5) Gooluck Jonathan as the President should rise up to the challenge and arrest all those identified as sponsors of islam:

- arrest Buhari, if he is
- arrest IBB, if he is
- arrest Lamido Sanusi the emir of Kano, if he is
- arrest sultan of Sokoto, if he is
- arrest Ihejirika, if he is.
Nobody is a sacred cow. The Holy Book says “He that is in authority and understandeth not is like beast that perish” (Psalms 49:20). It is one thing to be in Power, quite another to understand what to do. My Pastor defined wisdom as “knowing what to do next”. The issue is: do you know what to do next? As the President of Nigeria, do you know how to handle identified sponsors of bokoharam? Can you have the liver to arrest and call all to order? Something cannot be spoiling and there is a leader who is fretful to take decision, get out for another to come, “no way”. That leader is a failure.

6) Special Squad of Military must be selected and empowered to go to the jungles of North East to fish out, kill, decimate, obliterate and pulverize bokoharam and their sponsors. You cannot afford to sit in the comfort of your office as a leader, receiving only visitors, sharing money, but 100% ignoring security report right there on your table containing listed sponsors of violence. It does not make sense at all. The military men to be selected for the special assignment MUST NOT be muslims since bokoharam is 100% islamic.

7) Recruitment into Nigerian military must be based not on religious sentiment. Once recruited, oath taking MUST NOT be based on Bible or koran. Bible itself forbids swearing under any guide: name, heaven, hell, satan etc. “Let your yea, be yea; nay, be nay; whatsoever is outside these comes from the evil one”

No church building or mosque or African traditional religion building or shrine should be in the military barracks or any government building. Worship is only relegated to the private background. Oath taking should be based on “in the Name of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. . .” not placing hand on Bible or quoran or etc.

8) USA, Britain, France, Russia, China, Germany etc must be tamed, and made to understand that Nigeria is a sovereign state. The economy must be 100% diversified to be less dependent on oil. Borrowing is the problem of Nigeria. Often times USA and Britain force our leaders to borrow. And our leaders accept willy-nilly because they are stooges, corrupt leaders who even utilize the borrowed fund privately while the entire Nation groan under the weight of debt. The President must look USA, Britain etc straight to the face and reject any insinuation of satanic regimentation. That is why the economy needs diversification as a sovereign nation.
