ABUJA, Nigeria, December 12, 2014/African Press Organization (APO)/ -- The United States condemns in the strongest terms the December 11 twin bombing attack in the central Nigerian city of Jos that killed dozens of people and injured scores more.

This senseless attack on innocents in Jos's commercial Terminus district follows on the heels of another bombing attack in Nigeria's second largest city of Kano on December 10, in which four persons were killed and seven injured when two female suicide bombers attacked the Kantin Kawari Textile Market.

The United States offers its deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the persons killed and injured.

The United States remains committed to supporting the people of Nigeria in their struggle to stop the depraved actions of Boko Haram and associated terrorist groups.
