CATASTROPHIC CRUDE OIL SPILL HITS OKOLOLUNCH COMMUNITY IN BONNY ...CAUSED BY SWAMP BUGGY BELONGING TO SHELL SUBCONTRACTOR

Massive catastrophic crude oil spill on Saturday is said to have hit the Bonny/Bomu TNP trunk line around Shell wellhead 2 T24 in Okololunch community Bonny, the spill is said to have been caused by a swamp boogie belonging to a Shell subcontractor handling pipeline clamping job in the area. The heavy duty swamp boogie caterpillar has hit the active pipeline perforating it in the process to leave a huge hole and outburst of crude exuding from the pipeline. Barr. Victor Pepple, Publicity Secretary of Organization of Fishermen, Seafood Dealers in Niger Delta (OFSFD-ND) who confirmed the incident said the development is worrisome as the entire sea in the area is massively polluted and constituting serious threat to aquatic lives. Meanwhile the CDC Chairman of Okololunch community Alali Pepple said uptil Sunday evening Shell is yet to contain the spill endangering in bigger proportion and causing monumental environmental issues to the surrounding waters
