GEORGE AJEY BANIGO FORMALLY PICKS HOUSE OF REP INTENT FORM

…AMIDST MAMMOTH SUPPORT FROM CONSTITUENTS

By Anderson Hart

Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) frontline aspirant for Degema/Bonny constituency, Mr George Ajey Banigo last Monday 27th, October 2014 made true his intention to run for the coveted position of member, Federal House of Representatives, Degema/Bonny Federal Constituency when he led a huge base of supporters to the Rivers state PDP Secretariat to formally pick his intent form.

The event which attracted political stalwarts, key PDP stakeholders among others from Degema/ Bonny Constituency also witnessed the huge presence of youths and women of the constituency who turned out in their numbers to herald the event.

A grassroot mobilizer and a man of the people, George Ajey Banigo is said to be a man that feels the pulse of the people. He is adjudged the most people oriented, and widely accepted candidate considering his political antecedents and very impressive history of unblemished relationship within and across border.

In a race that is said to parade gluts of candidates already dismissed as pretenders, the popular permutation is that only those who have shown they possess the requisite quality and dynamism in a social setting outside positions of trust shall ultimately get the nod of the people.

With the huge and quality support enjoyed across the length and breadth of Degema/Bonny constituency it is an eloquent testimony why a cross section of persons are already expressing confidence that G.A.B is the man to beat.

Perhaps that should also explain why PDP secretariat stood still when, the man George Ajey Banigo went to formally collect his intent form. Throughout the duration of his stay (GAB) faithfuls engaged in dancing, masquerade display among others awaiting their man until he finally alighted from the PDP inner chamber to formally hoist aloft his intent form to the relief of his elated crowd of supporters. It will recalled that following the turn by turn arrangement between the people of Degema and Bonny LGA who shares a constituency, the onus presently falls on Bonny LGA to produce the next federal lawmaker having successfully conceded the last eight years to Degema through the candidature of Dr. Sokonte Davies who had run for the last two tenure.
