Amaechi Has Lost Every Sense of Responsibility - Rivers Group

By Rivers Conscience

The Rivers State Patriotic Youth Assembly (RSPYA) has described Governor Rotimi Amaechi as a man who has lost every sense of responsibility. RSPYA was responding to statements made by Governor Amaechi today in which the governor rained insults on the person of the president and commander in chief of the armed forces of the federation, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan during a rally to mark his victory at the Supreme Court in 2007.

RSPYA described the statement by Amaechi as regrettable and depicting a man whose sense of responsibility as a public officer has been lost.

Amaechi has degenerated to the point where he does not understand that insulting the person of the president is tantamount to insulting the country. The people of Rivers State are embarrassed by the actions of governor Amaechi who continues to show disrespect for the symbol of our country which is represented in the person of the president.

We will advice Amaechi to show some sense of maturity and reason especially in his comments and campaigns as he is beginning to become an embarrassment to the people of Rivers State whom he represents.

RSTPA also uses this opportunity to apologize to the president and commend his peaceful disposition in the face high provocation.

Justus Brown Sotonye Brima
