Green Peace Nigeria Independence Walk For Peace And Environmental

Green Peace Nigeria; an initiative borne to promote peaceful coexistence and environmental preservation held a peace walk in Ikeja on October 1st in support of the world peace day and the International day of non-violence.

This walk is very timely as it also lends it's voice to the recent worldattention on environmental preservation and climate change which was emphasised by different world leaders at the recently concluded UnitedNations Summit. The United Nations also attention on environmental preservation as it has twice awarded veteran Hollywood superstar actor Leonardo Di Caprio with the prestigious United Nations Ambassador for Peace for his passionate campaign for the use of alternative energy to help check climate change, which he also exemplifies by using only alternative energy like driving only bio fuel powered cars with zero emission.

Green Peace Nigeria will seek to help people in violence and naturaldisaster affected areas as well as inform and educate Nigerian on peacefulcoexistence and environmental preservation, it will also recognise andaward Nigerian who will promote this cause.

These it will do through conferences, concerts, awards and all availablemedia especially new media because of its emphasis on the youth.
