Anita Joseph, Yomi Fabiyi, Others Battle Piracy

These days in Nigeria, people get to hear of various groups being established for one purpose or the other all with the sole aim of wanting a change in a given sector. Recently, a new group was set up called 'The Save Group Foundation.'

The foundation is said to be the first ever civil right and activist group comprising of largely movie practitioners founded with the sole aim of advocating for change and attitude towards all institutions, sectors, individuals, ideas and concept of national interest that have been left to decay, nosedive or ill maintained.

According to the group, they will kick start their campaign with the project 'SAVE NIGERIA MOVIE INDUSTRY,' which they feel has been faced with various challenges and needs quality attention as the industry is seen as the driving force of the economy.

Director of Secretariat & Communications, Gabriel Afolayan, stated that the foundation welcome ideas, recommendations, articles on one or all of the following: Piracy, Distribution Market Regulation, Central Regulatory Body & Structure, Film Funds, Location License, Production Tax and many other issues affecting the movie industry.

The group comprises of Nollywood stars like, Gabriel Afolayan, Yomi Fabiyi, Ara, Anita Joseph
And many others.
