Lawmaker assists IDPS IN HAWUL

The member representing Hawul State Constituency at the Borno State House of Assembly, Hon. Ayuba Stephen Wakawa has purchased 100 bags of Rice, 10 bags of Maize and other assorted foodstuff worth Two and Half Million Naira and distributed it to internally displaced people from the constituency who are taking refuge in Biu.

The member who was expressing his dismay while speaking to the press on the unfortunate incidence said,"it is unfortunate that this disaster has befallen our people who are peace loving and hardworking, honest individuals. I pray that peace shall be restored in our state soon so that everybody can o back and oick up his life".

Hon. Wakawa promised to table the issue of the IDPS at the Borno State House of Assembly so that their suffering will be addressed and relief sought.

The lawmaker who has been assisting the people of his area in so many ways especially the students with funds for their final year projects also promised to establish a foundation inthe future.

There are more than 30 thousand displaced people from Hawul taking refuge in Biu and nearby towns of Gombe, Adamawa and Yobe states.
